Journoist Drops Publishing Policy
Draft for review — not legally approved. Confirm this document matches actual product behavior and obtain qualified legal review before publication.
A Drop is a short post shared on Journoist. This policy covers publishing, links, moderation and visibility.
1. Publishing and ownership
Publish content you created or are authorised to share. You retain rights in your original work subject to the limited service licence in the Terms.
2. Accuracy and context
Make clear whether a post reports a confirmed event, quotes a source, expresses opinion or describes an allegation. Do not fabricate evidence or misleadingly edit media.
3. Links and previews
Links may be displayed with text or previews. Only share lawful URLs and do not use deceptive link text, phishing, malware or impersonation. Link previews may expose page titles/images supplied by third parties.
4. Visibility and moderation
A Drop may be visible on your profile or through a direct link before it is eligible for broad discovery, depending on product settings. Moderation may delay discovery or restrict access. Product UI should explain current status accurately.
5. Prohibited content
Threats, targeted harassment, hate, unlawful disclosure of private information, defamation, spam, malicious links and rights-infringing content may be restricted or removed.
6. Corrections and removal
Edit or remove content when appropriate. Removal from Journoist may not erase copies, screenshots, cached pages or third-party shares. Contact support for impersonation, safety or rights complaints.
7. Moderation review
Journoist may review user reports and apply labels or restrictions. Provide a report/appeal mechanism and avoid representing moderation as fact-check certification.
